New releases top South Korea’s Netflix charts

“The Ultimate Duo” debuted at No. 1 on Netflix’s movie chart in South Korea for the week ending Sept. 27, 2026, while the second season of “Kian’s Bizarre B&B” entered at No. 1 among TV titles, according to Netflix’s official weekly Top 10 data.

New arrivals drove much of the movie chart. “OK! Madam” entered at No. 2, followed by “Black Bag” at No. 3 and “Shelter” at No. 4. Christopher Nolan’s “Tenet” returned at No. 5, while “UNABOMBER” debuted at No. 6. “Troy,” “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle I,” “The Warriors” and the newly listed “Clash of the Titans” completed the Top 10.

Five of the 10 movies on the South Korean chart were marked as new entries. “Demon Slayer” had the longest current run among them, spending eight weeks in the Top 10.

Both seasons of Kian’s show make the chart

The arrival of “Kian’s Bizarre B&B” Season 2 also lifted interest in the show’s first season, which appeared at No. 10 and has now spent six weeks in South Korea’s Top 10.

“The Scandal” ranked second among TV programs, with “Four Hands, Two Sonatas” at No. 3 and “Mousetrap” at No. 4. The Korean dating reality show “I am Solo” placed fifth, followed by the new entry “Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story.” “I’m SOLO, Love Goes On,” “Teach You a Lesson” and “K-Shaman: True Horror Stories” occupied the next three positions.

“Teach You a Lesson” had the longest run of any title on South Korea’s TV chart, remaining in the Top 10 for 11 weeks. “I am Solo” followed with eight weeks.

Korean chart leaders find global audiences

“The Scandal” also placed third on Netflix’s global non-English-language TV chart, recording 2.8 million views and 21.9 million viewing hours. “Not a Stranger” led that category with 9.7 million views and 65.7 million hours, followed by “Plastic Beauty” with 5.1 million views and 46.5 million hours.

“The Ultimate Duo” reached No. 8 on the global non-English-language movie chart in its first week, drawing 1.1 million views and 1.8 million viewing hours. “Irumudi” led the category with 3.4 million views and 8.1 million hours.

Two English-language titles also performed strongly in South Korea. “Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story,” the No. 6 TV title in the country, led Netflix’s global English-language TV chart with 14.5 million views and 95.9 million hours. “UNABOMBER,” sixth among movies in South Korea, topped the global English-language movie list with 16.4 million views and 27.4 million hours.

‘KPop Demon Hunters’ extends its run

“KPop Demon Hunters” ranked ninth among English-language movies worldwide with 2.5 million views, extending its run on the global chart to 66 weeks — the longest streak cited in Netflix’s latest rankings. Other familiar global movie titles included “A Minecraft Movie,” “Black Adam,” “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare” and “Top Gun: Maverick.”

Netflix calculates its weekly Top 10 rankings over a Monday-to-Sunday period. The company reports both estimated views and total viewing hours for its global charts.
