AI security project posts the week’s largest gain
Cloudflare’s security-audit-skill recorded the biggest increase among GitHub’s top 10 weekly trending repositories from Oct. 20 through Oct. 26, 2026, adding 15,072 stars. GitHub stars function much like bookmarks or public endorsements, offering a rough measure of developer interest.
The JavaScript project, which reached 46,931 stars and 2,909 forks, is designed to help coding agents conduct multistage security audits. Its six-step process covers reconnaissance, scope-based exploration, verification of potential findings, structured documentation, independent review of the record and target-neutral reporting. The system separates confirmed findings from issues requiring further review and rejected candidates.
The MIT-licensed repository was created June 18, 2026, and last updated Sept. 14.
Tools coordinate growing teams of AI agents
Ruflo, a TypeScript-based framework for coordinating multiple AI agents and autonomous workflows, ranked second after gaining 2,987 stars. It had 79,283 stars and 9,305 forks. The project describes an agent as the combination of an AI model and a software harness that supplies tools, memory, repeated execution, sandboxing and controls.
Ruflo can add routing and policy enforcement inside Claude Code and connect with Codex and other tools supporting the Model Context Protocol, or MCP. Its standalone terminal interface includes screens for costs, agent swarms, events and missions. The MIT-licensed repository was created June 2, 2025, and last updated Oct. 25, 2026.
Anthropic’s knowledge-work-plugins placed third, adding 2,790 stars for a total of 32,985, along with 3,633 forks. The Python repository provides 11 open-source plugins for Claude Cowork, including tools for productivity, sales, customer support and product management. Compatible with Claude Code, the plugins combine role-specific instructions, connectors, slash commands and subordinate agents and can be adapted to an organization’s tools, data, terminology and procedures. The Apache-2.0-licensed project was created Jan. 23, 2026, and last updated Oct. 24.
Coding agents expand across desktop and mobile
OpenCode, an open-source AI coding agent from anomalyco, ranked fourth and gained 5,921 stars, bringing its total to 221,525. The TypeScript project had 29,618 forks and uses the MIT license.
OpenCode includes a default build agent for development work and a read-only plan agent for analysis and code exploration. The plan agent generally cannot modify files and requests permission before running shell commands. A general-purpose sub-agent handles complex searches and multistep tasks. A beta desktop application is available for macOS, Windows and Linux. The repository was created April 30, 2025, and last updated Oct. 26, 2026.
Orca, from stablyai, ranked fifth after adding 9,622 stars. The TypeScript project, which had 105,839 stars and 6,693 forks, provides one interface for running and managing coding agents including Grok Bot, Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode and Pi.
Orca runs agents side by side in separate Git worktrees, allowing developers to send the same request to multiple systems and compare their output. It also supports mobile completion alerts and follow-up requests, split terminals, remote environments, GitHub and Linear browsing, SSH worktrees and line-by-line feedback on AI-generated changes. The MIT-licensed repository was created March 17, 2026, and last updated Oct. 26.
AI tools move into video, Android and knowledge graphs
HeyGen’s HyperFrames ranked sixth, gaining 5,612 stars for a total of 72,172, with 6,521 forks. The open-source TypeScript framework converts HTML, CSS, media and interactive animation into MP4 video, with rendering designed to produce the same result from the same input. Developers can use it as a local command-line tool or connect it as a skill to coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex and Cursor. The Apache-2.0-licensed repository was created March 10, 2026, and last updated Oct. 26.
Android’s skills repository placed seventh, adding 1,070 stars to reach 9,718, with 627 forks. Written primarily in Kotlin, it provides modular instructions and resources that help AI agents understand and complete Android development tasks. Each skill uses a SKILL.md file to give a large language model technical specifications and specialized workflows.
The project focuses on Android tasks where evaluations found that large language models did not perform well, rather than familiar areas such as basic Jetpack Compose practices. Developers can use the Android command-line interface to install or update individual skills or the full collection. The Apache-2.0-licensed repository was created March 16, 2026, and last updated Oct. 23.
Graphify ranked eighth after gaining 6,903 stars, bringing its total to 135,265, with 12,909 forks. The Python project turns source code, documents, SQL schemas, configuration files and PDFs into searchable knowledge graphs.
Graphify can operate as a skill in Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and Gemini CLI. It analyzes code locally using tree-sitter-based abstract syntax trees and labels whether each relationship was extracted directly from source material or inferred by the software. The project says it does not use embeddings or vector databases. Analysis of documents, PDFs, images and video relies on the model used by a connected tool or a configured API key. The Apache-2.0-licensed repository was created April 3, 2026.
American AI platforms shape the list
The week’s trending projects show how GitHub, the widely used American software-development platform, has become a central distribution point for tools built around prominent U.S. AI coding systems. Several repositories directly support Anthropic’s Claude Code, OpenAI’s Codex or Google’s Gemini CLI, while others package specialized capabilities that developers can install across multiple competing agents.
TypeScript was the most common primary language among the top repositories, appearing in four, followed by Python in three. JavaScript, Kotlin and Rust each appeared once among the full top 10.
