K-pop meets Formula 1 in Singapore
K-pop group CORTIS performed a 15-song set at the main stage of the 2026 Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix, appearing before an estimated 60,000 people during the five-member act’s first visit to the city-state.
BigHit Music said CORTIS played for 50 minutes at the Padang Stage, an outdoor venue at the Marina Bay Street Circuit. The Singapore Grand Prix combines nighttime racing through the city with a large entertainment program and is considered one of Asia’s biggest motorsports and entertainment events.
Members Martin, James, Juhoon, Seonghyeon and Keonho opened with “TNT” before performing songs including “REDRED,” “GO!,” “FaSHioN” and “MOTION (feat. Juicy J).” CORTIS was the only K-pop group in this year’s lineup.
A close-up moment with fans
Fans known collectively as COER gathered around the venue from early morning carrying official light sticks and merchandise. Despite the heat, they filled the standing area and chanted the group’s name and the names of individual members.
During “YOUNGCREATORCREW,” the performers stepped off the stage to move closer to the crowd. They thanked fans for attending, called Singapore “a really beautiful city” and added “Thank you lah,” adopting the conversational particle commonly heard in local English.
The group also leaned into the Formula 1 setting with vintage racing-inspired outfits. Members wore shirts featuring the logo of late racing star Ayrton Senna and redesigned checkered-pattern shirts evoking the flag associated with the end of a race.
Red Bull paddock visit and Singapore pop-up
CORTIS also visited the Singapore Grand Prix paddock at the invitation of Red Bull, a global partner of the group. The restricted area is generally reserved for drivers and racing personnel.
During a tour of the Oracle Red Bull Racing garage, the members met Red Bull driver Max Verstappen. A photo posted to the official Formula 1 and Red Bull Racing social media accounts surpassed 1 million likes in about two hours.
The group is extending its Singapore presence beyond the race weekend with “CORTIS POP-UP in SINGAPORE” at Plaza Singapura. Running from the 2nd through the 25th, the store features a roughly 6.5-foot-tall installation of the “CORTIS Ball,” a character based on the group’s official logo, along with the group’s second mini-album, “GREENGREEN,” and official merchandise.
