Eum shares wedding plans with fans
South Korean singer and actor Eum Moon-suk announced on the 21st that he will marry his longtime partner, a model, in January.
His agency, Ghost Studio, confirmed the wedding plans and said the bride-to-be works in the modeling industry. No additional details about her identity or the ceremony were disclosed.
Eum shared the news directly with members of his official fan community, writing, “I’m getting married.” He described his fiancĂ©e as someone who cherishes him, looks after him and loves him, adding that they hope to build a happy life together.
The entertainer said he had spent considerable time thinking about how to make the announcement and wanted his fans — whom Korean celebrities often address as an extended family — to hear the news from him first. He thanked them for standing by him and said their support had helped him persevere throughout his career.
From pop music to acting
Eum debuted as a singer in 2005 under the stage name SIC. He later formed the group Monsterz with other rappers in 2012 and competed on Mnet’s dance survival program “Dancing 9” in 2013.
After working in music and television entertainment, he expanded into acting. He gained wider recognition playing Jang Ryong in the 2019 SBS drama “The Fiery Priest.” His later credits include the 2022 crime film “The Roundup,” in which he portrayed contract killer Kang Gi-cheol, as well as the film “6/45” and the television series “Good Job.” He subsequently appeared in “The Midnight Studio” and the 2025 production “My Solo Prince.”
Recent role in “Hope”
Eum’s most recent film is director Na Hong-jin’s “Hope.” He played Yang-bae, an enigmatic young carpenter whose actions set the story’s events in motion.
His unsettling performance drew favorable responses from audiences, with some describing him as the film’s biggest hidden asset.
