Blockchain analytics firm Glassnode said in its weekly report covering on-chain activity from Sept. 16 to 23 that Bitcoin did not close below its realized price during the recent market decline. The firm said that if Bitcoin remains above the $77,000 level identified by its true market mean indicator, the low recorded in June could represent the shallowest bear-market bottom since 2017. Glassnode also pointed to $95,000-$97,000 as a potential resistance area based on market valuation indicators and options positioning.

Bitcoin traded around $84,000 on Sept. 23 after briefly moving above $87,000 earlier in the week for the first time since late January. Blockchain Upgrades Lift Solana and Avalanche Activity
Solana traded at $122, gaining 7.8% over the week and 4% over 24 hours, according to CoinGecko. The network’s Alpenglow upgrade is scheduled for a tentative Sept. 28 release and is designed to reduce transaction finalization time from 12.8 seconds to 150 milliseconds while increasing fault tolerance to 40%.
Ethereum’s Glamsterdam upgrade has been pushed back to the fourth quarter of 2026, with testing planned on the Sepolia testnet on Oct. 6.
Avalanche (AVAX) traded at $10.62, rising 29.9% over seven days and 3.7% over 24 hours. The Helicon network upgrade, which began Sept. 22, reduces the minimum validator staking lock period from 14 days to 48 hours and adds an automatic restaking feature.
24/7 Wall St. reported that the changes allowed stakers to withdraw funds more quickly, contributing to a temporary 8% price decline as some investors sold after the upgrade-related momentum faded. Intercontinental Exchange, the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, has tested Avalanche for around a year as part of research into 24-hour tokenized stock trading, though no contract or launch date has been set.
