BTS Adds a Fourth Million-Point Single
BTS has reached 1 million cumulative points on Japan’s Oricon combined singles chart with “Boy With Luv,” the group’s label, BigHit Music, said on the 28th.
The Oricon ranking measures a song’s overall performance by combining streaming and digital download results. The milestone gives the South Korean group four singles that have surpassed 1 million points on the chart, following “Lights / Boy With Luv,” “Dynamite” and “Butter / Permission to Dance.”
A Record Among International Artists
BTS now holds the Oricon record for the most million-point combined singles by an artist from outside Japan. In February, “Butter / Permission to Dance” became the first single by an international artist to exceed 4 million points on the chart.
The group has also earned more than 1 million points with three releases on Oricon’s combined albums chart, extending its chart record across both singles and albums in Japan.
