CHANGMO’s ‘Call Me’ Leads South Korea’s YouTube Trending Chart

CHANGMO’s “Call Me” rose to No. 1 on South Korea’s YouTube trending video list on Oct. 4, according to a ranking based on YouTube Data API data. The short-form video from the CHANGMO - Topic channel was uploaded on Oct. 1 and recorded 345,686 views and 3,214 likes.

The top 20 videos on the list were all new entries compared with the Sept. 27 ranking, showing a complete reshuffling of the trending chart.

Music and Gaming Account for Most Trending Videos

Among 30 trending videos collected that day, music content accounted for 14 entries and gaming content accounted for 13. Entertainment videos appeared twice, while Film & Animation appeared once. Shorts made up eight of the 30 videos.

Music-related videos performed strongly, with Release - Topic’s “Dime Girl” ranking fourth with 134,127 views and Woody - Topic’s “Period” placing seventh with 209,413 views. Roy Kim’s “크게 울어라 미리 불러” also entered the top 10 at No. 10.

Shorts Drive the Highest View Counts

Although CHANGMO’s “Call Me” ranked first, the most-viewed video in the top 20 was Netflix Korea’s “꿀알바 | 공식 티저 예고편 | 넷플릭스,” which reached 1,487,803 views as a YouTube Short.

Two other Shorts surpassed 1 million views: ALLDAY PROJECT - Topic’s “CRASH” with 1,342,983 views and Eve’s “AIYOU - Eve Music Video” with 1,147,645 views. Eve’s video received 74,907 likes, the highest like count among the top 20 entries.

MarvelKorea’s “[Vision Quest] Main Trailer” also ranked highly, reaching No. 2 with 832,353 views and 4,741 likes after being uploaded as a Short on Oct. 2.

Gaming Videos Find a Strong Audience With Long-Form Content

Gaming videos in the top 20 were all uploaded on Oct. 3 and were traditional long-form videos rather than Shorts. Kim Min-kyo’s channel ranked third with a 55-minute video titled “끝날때까지 예측 불가능한 넥서스 피1 사건ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ,” which collected 462,056 views.

Other gaming entries included videos from PAKA, 괴물쥐, 근가놈, 뜨뜨뜨뜨 and 팡이요, covering games including Pokémon and MapleStory. ALTUBE’s video featuring an AI competition between game strategies ranked 11th with a runtime of more than 105 minutes.

Korean Entertainment Content Remains Visible on YouTube

Drama and artist content also appeared on the list. A final episode preview for tvN’s “포핸즈” ranked fifth, while singer Lim Young-woong’s live clip from the “2026 IMHERO 10 : THE STADIUM CONCERT 2” ranked 12th with 526,321 views and 37,116 likes.

The rankings reflect viewing activity in South Korea as of Oct. 4 and compare changes from the Sept. 27 trending list.
