New leaders emerge in South Korea
“The Ultimate Duo” was the most-watched movie on Netflix in South Korea for the week of Oct. 4, 2026, while the second season of “Kian’s Bizarre B&B” led the country’s series ranking.
“The Ultimate Duo” and the No. 2 movie, “UNABOMBER,” each recorded their second week in the Korean top 10. “The Desperate Chase” entered the latest ranking at No. 3, followed by “Clash of the Titans” and the Korean action comedy “OK! Madam.”
Several older English-language movies also joined or returned to the Korean chart. “The Silence of the Lambs” ranked sixth, “The Mummy” was seventh and “Law Abiding Citizen” placed ninth. “Shelter” took eighth place, while “Hansel & Gretel” rounded out the list.
Two seasons of ‘Kian’s Bizarre B&B’ make the top 10
The second season of “Kian’s Bizarre B&B” reached No. 1 in its second week on the chart. The first season remained in the top 10 at No. 7 after seven weeks, showing continued interest in the earlier episodes.
“Marriage of Convenience” debuted at No. 2, ahead of “The Scandal,” “Four Hands, Two Sonatas” and the long-running Korean dating program “I am Solo.” “Your Personal Taxi” entered at No. 6. “Mousetrap,” the “I’m SOLO” spinoff “Love Goes On” and “Teach You a Lesson” completed the ranking.
Netflix’s global leaders
“Not a Stranger” topped Netflix’s global non-English-language series chart with 5.1 million views and 34.8 million hours watched. “Shaque: Trust No One” placed second with 4.2 million views, followed by “The Final Problem” with 3.2 million.
On the English-language series chart, “East of Eden” debuted at No. 1 with 6.5 million views and 45.5 million hours watched. “Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story” ranked second with 5.7 million views, while “A Different World” was third with 5.1 million. “Wonka’s The Golden Ticket” and “LEGO ONE PIECE” completed the top five.
“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle I” led the global non-English-language movie list for a third week, recording 6.4 million views and 16.6 million hours watched. The English-language movie chart was led by “UNABOMBER,” which drew 24.9 million views. “The Widower: ’Til Death Do Us Part” followed with 11.6 million, and “Doing Life” ranked third with 9.3 million.
Other titles on the global English-language movie list included “The Breadwinner,” “The Equalizer 3,” “The Mummy,” “The Whisper Man,” “What’s Your Number?,” “A Minecraft Movie” and “KPop Demon Hunters.”
