A stadium milestone in Australia
BIGBANG became the first K-pop group to stage a standalone concert at Sydney’s Accor Stadium, performing at the venue on May 31, the group’s agency, YG Entertainment, said June 2.
The stadium has hosted global stars including Taylor Swift and Coldplay. BIGBANG’s concert was part of its 2026-2027 “XX : COSMOS” world tour and marked the group’s first solo show in Sydney since 2015. Fans filled the stands for the return of one of K-pop’s defining second-generation boy bands.
Celebrating 20 years with fans
The tour commemorates BIGBANG’s 20th anniversary. The members thanked their fan community, known as V.I.P, saying their support had made the milestone possible and expressing hope that the concert would begin another long chapter together.
The show opened with “Fantastic Baby,” “Hands Up” and “Tonight,” before moving through signature songs including “Loser,” “Haru Haru,” “Lies” and “Bang Bang Bang.” The set also featured individual solo performances and the new song “BiiiG,” combining the group’s earlier hits with its current music.
A live band, synchronized dancers, special effects and fireworks gave the production the scale expected of a major stadium concert.
World tour continues in Bangkok
After Sydney, BIGBANG returns to Asia for concerts June 7 and 8 at Rajamangala National Stadium in Bangkok. An additional Bangkok performance was added in response to fan demand.
The full tour is scheduled to include 39 performances across 19 cities in North America, Europe, Oceania and Asia.
