Trump aide leads South Korea’s trending searches
Natalie Harp, a personal aide to President Donald Trump, topped Google’s real-time trending search list in South Korea on Nov. 7, 2026, as Korean users searched for a mix of U.S. political figures, health news, professional sports and entertainment personalities.
Harp drew more than 200 searches in Google’s approximate count. Reports identifying her as the aide who monitors Trump’s Truth Social account and media coverage — and saying she had taken control of his personal cellphone — fueled interest in her role.
Google Trends rankings reflect the order of rapidly rising searches, while the search totals are approximate measures supplied by Google. As a result, a higher-ranked term may have fewer searches than one below it.
Emergency responder assault draws attention
“Blood sugar” ranked second with more than 2,000 searches after reports that a South Korean emergency medical technician was assaulted while trying to check the blood glucose level of a collapsed patient. South Korea’s 119 emergency service performs a role similar to 911 in the United States.
A person in their 60s was fined 7 million won for striking the responder in the face, according to the reports.
Basketball and baseball fill the sports rankings
A Korean Basketball League game between Suwon KT and Daegu KOGAS ranked third with more than 500 searches. Suwon led 60-52 in the third quarter of the Nov. 7 game at Suwon KT Sonicboom Arena. KT was seeking a third consecutive victory, while Daegu had won three of its previous four games. KT’s Miguel Oczon was absent after undergoing appendicitis surgery.
Baseball players Woo Kyu-min, Ryu Hyun-in and Park Seung-gyu ranked sixth, eighth and ninth, respectively. Interest in Woo centered on the prospect that either he or Samsung catcher Kang Min-ho would win a first championship ring. Park, who drew more than 1,000 searches, hit a two-run double in the bottom of the fifth inning that helped hold off KT’s rally.
NBA star Luka Doncic placed 10th with more than 100 searches.
Jensen Huang report creates another U.S. connection
Nvidia CEO and President Jensen Huang ranked fifth with more than 2,000 searches following reports about a U.S. government memo concerning his relationship with a businesswoman suspected of having ties to Chinese intelligence.
Three U.S. House committee chairs asked Huang to appear at a closed briefing on Nov. 18 to explain the relationship, according to the reports. The woman was identified as Alice Huang, an executive at Singapore data center company Megaspeed. Nvidia declined to comment on the relationship or the government memo and said its own investigation found no evidence of wrongdoing.
Comedian’s family tragedy and McDonald’s sales
South Korean comedian Kim Young-chul ranked fourth with more than 500 searches after recalling the death of his older brother 35 years ago. Kim said his brother was killed in a traffic accident after leaving to buy chicken that Kim had wanted. He discussed the family tragedy and his mother’s grief in a video released Nov. 6 while speaking with fellow comedian Jung Sun-hee about influential books.
McDonald’s ranked seventh with more than 200 searches after its Big Arch burger reportedly sold 1 million units within two weeks of its release. The news also drew attention to a broader revival of retro menu items in South Korea’s burger industry.
